Do I need a new phone or a new battery?

A

AC Question

I tried charging my phone night but every time I plugged it in, it would say something about power sharing. The battery was also draining quickly. I looked and saw that I hadn't downloaded the power sharing app like some people thought. I also tried going to into safe mode like suggested and I also factory reset it. Nothing has worked. Now it is completely dead and every now and then when I plug it in, it will show that the battery is empty or a battery symbol with and emergency sign on it. It won't come on, even when I left it plugged in all night.
It's been three months since I got this phone. I believe it is refurbished. It's also an S5.

I think a new battery would be a good place to start. You should be able to find them on Amazon. If that doesn't work, I would seek a replacement.
