Why do I have to keep redirecting certain apps to my 32g sd card?

I added a 32 gb sd card to my Lenovo tablet so that I could direct most apps to that card & save built-in memory space. However, when I use certain apps such as Skype or Facebook, they seem to want to operate in main memory and I have to redirect them back to the sd card. Every time I check storage, certain apps need to be moved back...is this normal? Can I do anything to remedy this? Thanks.

Welcome to Android Central! Are you actually moving the apps to SD in the Settings>Apps menu, or are you instructing the apps to save data to the SD card (in the individual app settings)?
