Multimedia UI Service Layer stopped

I tried to free some space on my Samsung galaxy and deinstalled programs and applications that I thought were not necessary - apparently a little too much :)
Now I cannot find any ringtones and the music player cannot find any music. Although I see the folders Alarms and Music. When I open "my documents" and open the music folder and a song I get the error message "Multimedia UI Service Layer stopped". What can I do?

Re: Multimedia UI Service Layer stopped

Welcome to Android Central! Is the phone rooted? If it's unrooted, you shouldn't be able to do any serious damage by deleting apps or files, since important system files are protected.
