Remote for my phone?

I use an old Zune MP3 player to listen to podcasts and music in the car. I like it because it has a physical button so I can press play/pause or rewind/fast forward without looking at the player. I would prefer to use my phone but then I have to look at the screen which is unsafe while driving. Is there a remote of some kind or anything I can use in the car that has physical buttons? I'm picturing something that plugs into the charging port or the aux jack. My car does have a USB port but I think it only works with iphone/ipods.
