Can i use CMW instead of TWRP?

Hi!
I'm going to install OmniROM 5.1.1 on my phone (specifications bellow!) and ROM's developer says "Flash it using TWRP and..." but can I use CWM instead? I have latest version of CMW.
I need to install OmniROM; GApps; SU (by ChanFire).
I know that i can install su using CMW, but how about OmniROM and GApps? Their developers says "Flash it using TWRP...".
Question is: Can i use CMW insted of TWRP?
Thanks!

I believe that you can choose either but I'll try to find out from more knowledgeable members.

Re: Can i use CMW instead of TWRP?

I haven't used CWM in a good three years... but I do recall that there were some things that didn't work quite right in CWM, which moved me over to the more widely used and accepted TWRP. But most every custom ROM out there recommends TWRP, and if you run into any flashing issues with CWM, you most likely won't get much support from the ROM dev in question.

Contact the ROM developer. If it's a TWRP backup, CWM won't install it. If it's a "flash a zip from the SD card" ROM (Chainfire's rooting - putting su on the phone - is), CWM should.
