I have over 50k text messages and I need to delete them. Unfortunately when I try and delete the threads my phone just crashes. I have to restart my phone and it's such a pain. At this point I am just trying to figure out a way to delete the texts with my computer. Help would be nice. Thank you!

I think you can do this using pc application provided by the manufacturer of your phone (ex. for LG you can use "PC Suite").

Pretty sure you can't do it from your pc, but I could be wrong.

First, have you tried deleting one thread at a time?

Would you be against a factory reset?

You could try an application called "SMS Backup & Restore" and you don't need computer to delete all messages.
