Does having more windows with all your apps effect speed of phone

Meaning if i left the apps i download in the app drawer without putting them on a homescreen will it make my phone faster.

Welcome to Android Central! No, that won't matter. Putting lots of widgets, on the other hand, might have in impact, depending on how active those widgets are.

Android kills any apps it needs to kill - at any time. (Android apps are required to keep their current state at all times due to this.) Running every last byte of RAM, then running an app that takes all of RAM, will take time to kill all those apps, but that's speed that's measurable, not speed that you'll notice.

If you had asked "Windows". yes. But Android isn't Windows. (Even widgets can be killed without questioning. Windows programs have a "may I kill you?" API, Android doesn't do it that way.)
