When unlocking the phone, the talk back feature says the pin code out loud as its being typed. Is there a setting to turn this off (only for unlocking the phone - talk back needs to stay on)?

Welcome to Android Central! If you're not encrypted, one workaround would be to use pattern unlock, rather than PIN or password.

Thanks for your suggestion! Unfortunately I am blind, so using a pattern will be very difficult for me. Is there any other solutions you can think of?

Just curious--if you're blind, how are you able to tap the correct PIN without TalkBack? Is your vision just good enough to discern where the numbers are?

I am legally blind, however my vision is good enough to see things right in front of my face. The keyboard is difficult to see for a passcode, but the num pad is simple enough for me.
