Why is my email App (K9 and the App that came with the Phone) scrubbing emails?

Starting Feb 29th (after working fine for 7 months) my email app shows only a few hours worth of emails in the Inbox... refuses to load more. All my settings are as they should be (just double checked). I am using private email provider (POP3/SMTP Account) and sync to Outlook --- anybody have any solutions?... Samsung -- Android/Motorola -- can you help?

I know you said you checked your settings, is the display emails settings set to show all or just that days? Have you tried using another email app like Microsoft Outlook for Android?
