[AC Question]

Evernote says I have to update play services. Play services downloads fine, then says it doesn't have enough room to install. I don't have any apps on internal storage except the shovelware I can't delete, everything goes to the SDcard.

Evernote support doesn't seem to exist. Play services support doesn't seem to exist.

Phone is an HTC V One (never buy an HTC phone, this one has been junk since about day 3. Both hardware and especially the buggy software).

I use Evernote to keep lists on my laptop and have them show up on my phone. That's it, nothing fancy.

Ideas?

Have you checked how much free space you have? Maybe the internal storage is full of pictures or other things?

A direct competitor for Evernote would be Microsoft OneNote, but if it is only lists you want there are tons of apps that specialize in that like Our Groceries, Out of Milk, etc...

I've got as much internal free space as I'll ever have unless I root my phone and delete some shovelware. I spent hours last night verifying no app is installed internally. I've got about 16 gig left on my SDcard.

One Note looks good, I'll install it when I get home.

Have you checked out Google Keep? http://keep.google.com There's no desktop app but you can access it from a browser.

I agree with Keep. I love it. Works really well, and since most Android phones have it preinstalled, why not?

I'm pretty sure there is a desktop app. The chrome app launcher (I think that's what it's called) needs to be installed, but I think that comes with chrome.
