Why am I not getting text messages or view the complete message or reply

I'm sending messages and they are received however I cannot view the sent message or the reply

Can you provide us with a bit more information?

1. Phone Model & Android Version
2. Was this working, and just all of a sudden it did not?
3. Was there possibly an event, example: Installation of a 3rd party texting app?
4. Was there a drop/fall or exposure to liquids?
