Calendar using 31% of my battery?

is this normal battery consumption for the calendar, when my phone is on standby (screen off)? I really don't even us it for anything, beyond seeing what the date is 2-3 times a month.

Can I just disable the calendar all together, since I never really use it?

I do think think so, maybe try installing greenly and put calendar to sleep

It doesn't do this all the time, only once in a while.

Oh I also have a moto 360 connected with bluetooth 24/7. I suspect there is some calendar / sync-ing going on there, perhaps more so than with the BT radio turned off.

If you change something on the calendar (in the moto or at the website) and have syncing enabled, it's going to consume some battery and data, but that's a bit much.

As far as disabling it, you probably can't unless you root the phone (it's probably a system app), but it shouldn't be running unless you run it or it gets a push notice (and that's for milliseconds at most).
