How do I uninstall an app on my phone that I can't remove through Device Administrators?

I have an app on my phone that is a filter called K9Browser. However, the app hasn't been useful and I want to put a different app on my phone. But, the problem is that I need to uninstall this app in order to put this other app on my phone because the filter is blocking this other app. When I first installed K9Browser I set it up so that I can't change the settings without certain permissions. In order to make those changes you need to sign into it with a password, which I have forgotten. As far as I know, there is no way to change or remember this password, which means I can't change the settings in order to uninstall the app or change the permissions. I tried using Device Administrators (under Security, which is under Settings), but I need the password to change the settings still. Please help.

Welcome to the forums! Have you already tried safe mode? There's a chance that you can uncheck this app from device administrators after booting in safe mode.

What device do you have and what android version is it running?

I have an Android Motorola Maxx and it is running 24.21.7.en.US.

Once in safe mode go to device administrators, try to uncheck the app and then uninstall.
