I'm attempting to take this touchscreen display [here (the UM-1080CH-OF)](https://www.mimomonitors.com/products/um-1080c-of-10-1-open-frame-1280x800-lcd-display) and drive it with a mini Android PC: such as one [here](https://www.amazon.com/Arrivals-Mini-MX-Band2-4G-Bluetooth/dp/B01CGPUBZU?ie=UTF8&ref_=pe_825000_114665720_TE_item). The video interface is going over HDMI, and the touchscreen information should be going through USB, but when I hook them up, I get video, but no touchscreen interface. The Android box is running Android 5.1. When I hook up the touchscreen to a PC running windows, it installs a "SiS HID Touch Controller" driver, and then works as an input to the PC. Are there drivers or something I am missing for Android or something?

Most likely, yup, you're missing drivers. Android (and not all devices) mostly supports generic input devices (mice, keyboards), but for more specialized hardware, just like Windows, you'd need a driver or controller app.

Not sure if the particular device you're using lists itself as compatible with Android or if it includes a companion app you would need to install on your device in order for this to work. In my experience with these type of devices (which isn't that extensive either), they're just designed to work on Windows computers.
