How come when I delete emails on my phone, they don't delete in my Outlook?

For work, I have an email account through Comcast, and I access it on my desktop through Outlook. I've linked the Email on my phone to this account, but when I delete it on my phone, it doesn't delete on my desktop's Outlook.

Check your server settings on each app.
Most likely, Outlook is downloading a copy of the email to its local file on your desktop while leaving a copy on the server for the phone to see.
If your connection to the server is POP3, the coordination of the multiple devices looking that the email account will be quite limited.
