I know that you're supposed to hand swipe across the screen to capture a screenshot but it doesn't work. And yes, I'm doing it right because it's the same on my phone. I've gone to my settings and made sure my "Palm swipe to capture" is turned on but still no luck. My daughter (16 months old) takes screenshots on accident all the time but I can't figure out how she's doing it

Welcome to Android Central! Does the button press method work? Galaxy Tab E - How do I Take a Screenshot on my Samsung Galaxy Tab E?

Also, do you have a screen protector on? If so, I wonder if that might be interfering a bit.

Yes I have a tempered glass screen protector, didn't even think about it maybe being that. Can you tell me what the button press method is for this device? I don't think I've ever used it on any of my devices.

It's mentioned in that link in my previous post. Press Home and Power at the same time, for about half a second.
