Galaxy Tab S2 won't pair with Ion "Plunge" Boombox
I have a new Samsung Galaxy Tab S2, Model #SM-T713, Android Version 6.0.1. It won't recognize one of my portable Bluetooth speaker systems. Specifically, the Ion "Plunge" Boombox. When searching for Bluetooth devices, it displays: cc:04:b4:07:21:76 rather than the device name "Plunge", like my Galaxy Note 3 phone does. When the pairing request prompt appears, I've tried "0000" and "1234" but get the response that the Tab S2 is unable to communicate with the device. Pretty frustrating! Any suggestions?
Re: Galaxy Tab S2 won't pair with Ion "Plunge" Boombox
One or the other, the Boombox or the S2, probably has a Bluetooth media profile that doesn't match the other. (We're still in the "let's see if this works" days of Bluetooth profiles.) See if one or the other has an update (an update to Nugat on the Tab might fix it, or an update on the Boombox to match 6.0.1 might.)
