Why does my phone shut off randomly?

my battery can be charged but I can just used my phone and then go to use it again and it is completely off and I can't get it to turn back on. I have to take the back off and take battery out and place back in again and turn it on to get it to turn on. Does any one have a solution to this ? or know why this happens?

Hi Nanna, welcome to the forums! Try cleaning the gold contacts on the battery and in the device. Reinsert battery and check for movement, if it seems lose, pack a bit of tissue behind the battery to push it up against the contacts. I've also tried sticking something to the back of the battery, so the cover pushes it and holds it firmly in place. Be gentle when handling the device, don't just toss it on the table....
Try all that and see how it goes... Happy New year!
