My 12month old HTC 320 Desire ( I know cheap phone) gets really hot ,then switches off ,

I have tried all the methods to restart it , the only way to get it going again is to remove the battery and put back in, It has done this from the time I bought it infrequently ( app 3 times a week) now it is doing it 3-4 times a day. This is getting monotonous It charges slowly, from day dot and it does this turn off thing even when 80% 90% full . Any ideas welcome.
