Hello,

I am Dr Simon Andrew Casey. I am using Samsung J7 phone and recently phone was asking for a software update. I have updated the Android software of phone but after update, songs in my phone are not playing. Now, What should I do now reset or new download?

Are the songs stored on your SD Card or your internal memory? Some people have reported that if they had their SD Cards inserted while updating, the contents (or the card itself) got corrupted/damaged.

Are these MP3 or songs from other apps (Spotify, Play Music, etc.)? If they're from an app, they might have been encrypted for a specific version and have to be re-downloaded. I don't think this is the case, but it's a possibility.

Have you tried playing the same file in a computer? What about downloading a 3rd party media player like VNC? Does it play there?
