Google Play Music: Ignore folder

I have some comedy MP3s on my phone (about 5GB of it) that my son and I listen to every week during a long car ride we have to do. The thing is I also like putting my music to shuffle when I work or drive by myself and I end up having to skip those comedy MP3s every time. Is there a way without using the .nomedia method to ignore a certain folder in Google Play Music? I thought of installing a separate music player just for those comedy MP3s and hiding them from Google Play Music but when I use the .nomedia method other players don't see them either (except for the very ugly Folder Music Player https://forums.androidcentral.com/e....zorillasoft.musicfolderplayer&token=N0Vun1ag)
