On all my old Nokia S60 phones I could create perfectly looping ringtones just by using a desktop audio editor to cut out a short sample and save it as a wav. When selected as a ringtone it would loop perfectly.
I have never been able to do this on any of my Android phones. There is always a delay. Recently I read about using OGG files and setting ANDROID_LOOP to true in the metadata. This still results in a short delay.
Is there any way to get this to work in Android? If not, why not?
Thanks.
Colin
