Can I use custom sounds as notification sounds on my LG Stylo 3 ?

Can I use custom sounds as notification sounds on my LG Stylo 3 ? I have tried to find where the built in notification sounds are stored in this phone so that I can add some sound files that I used on my G2 but the folder that they may be stored in is not to be found. I have searched for information on this using Google but everything I find refers to the built in sounds only. I copied my old ringtone folder to the SD card and I can use any of those as ringtones just fine. Thanks for any help or suggestions.

After you edit the sound and save it as an MP3 or the like, the sound file needs to go into the appropriate folder, case sensitive names:
/Ringtones
/Notifications
/Alarms

Internal storage or SD card, same folder names.

Thanks for your help on this. Sorry to take so long to reply but I was able to get all of my notification sounds set up like I wanted.
