How do turn my screen icons and wallpaper back to their original colors?

Hello,

I have a ZTE Z833 Avid Trio phone running Android version 6.01. I recently turned my phone off, and when I turned it back on, icons that were originally red and brown were now pink. All icons and the wallpaper were now several shades lighter. How can I return my icons and wallpaper back to their original colors?

Welcome to Android Central! Does this persist if you boot into Safe Mode? https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-33663. If so, then I would suspect a problem with your screen. Any recent drops or water exposure?

In safe mode most of the icons turned grey. I did not drop the phone or get it wet.

here is the screen shot. But this screen shot does not look anything like what is showing on my screen.

In the first row. The music icon, the red band is pink. The black background is white. The white music icon is black.

In the second row the background for all of the icons are pink. The images are black instead of white.

And in the screen background, where you see black shadows in the sand, on my screen they are white.

And if I play a Youtube video, the people in the videos look like ghosts.

The fact that the screenshot itself looks normal indicates that there's a problem with the screen itself. If the phone is still under warranty, contact ZTE. Otherwise, bring it to a repair shop, or consider getting a new phone.

I took my phone back to the Metro PCS store where I bought it. A very young lady behind the counter who didn't look very techie asked if she could help me. I told her what the problem was and she said: "Oh I can fix that". She took the phone, went into settings, and 30 seconds later the problem was fixed. I asked her if she could tell me what she did. She said that she went in to Settings> Accessibility > and tapped on the Color Inversion button.

Great, glad you got it fixed! It's odd that the color inversion wouldn't show up in the screenshot, though ...
