I accidentally hit a small square button when I was using my Twitter app, instead of the back key. I apparently did the same thing in my Instagram app. Now I can't get out of those apps without rebooting; the back and home buttons have disappeared. How do I undo what I did? I have Googled and cannot find the answer. Any help would be appreciated; I am new to Android.

ps: I uninstalled and reinstalled the apps and it still does not work.

There should be a little line at the top or bottom of an app (or between two of them if they're both on the screen at the same time). Drag it to the bottom, then close the remaining app. (At least, I think that's what you did - go into multi-app.)
