App called 'apps'

Hi there, i've got what I think is a pre installed app on my pixie 6 that's called apps. The slide down notification tabs told me to disable it because it could download harmful apps. I disabled it because some apps had download for no reason to my phone but the notification hasn't gone away. I dont know where the notification came from and now im thinking the notification was from a virus itself maybe. Has anybody heard of something similar happening? Its very confusing when there is no information about the software on your phone and it has names like 'apps'. Is it possible to make it any more difficult?wow! Pls help!

No, and Alcatel isn't known for including bad apps in their phones. (Some Chinese manufacturers are known for that.) Long-press the notification and see if it tells you which app it's from.

Thanks for that Ambassador I didnt know about long pressing the notification bar it makes more sense now
