unable to hear caller on car bluetooth , yet no issue when i call them

when someone rings me in my car I answer and cannot hear anything .Yet when I ring them back on same set up there is no issue .
This issue started when I changed phone , HTC 10 to Samsung S9 .

Welcome to Android Central! When you get a call, press the Volume Up button on the phone a few times -- is it already at max, or did it start off really low?

I will try that the next time I've an incoming call .The only thing is when I'm making a call out there is no adjustment required .I'll post back when I observe .

Also, unpair, forget, then rediscover and repair the phone to the car should the volume not be the issue.
