From time to time I get the "Android Is Starting Optimising App" message.

I understand that there might be an option to reset it

My phone is like the one in this video

I did get this menu up on my phone as shown in the pic from video at 2:48

On A Chinese Phone, How can I get rid of Android Is Starting Optimising App?-05zuy.png

That video shows a factory reset though(which you get choosing the eMMC option), but I don't want to do a factory reset, I don't want to wipe everything off my phone every time I get this message!

I heard there might be a cache of some kind that is safe to delete, that would remove that message, but I can't see the option to delete that.

If I go to settings..about, it says DOOGEE-Y6C-Android6.0-2017015

It started doing this after some kind of update that I think happened automatically.

It takes 20min sometimes and that's when it's only 1 app to 'optimise'.(which as been common recently) B) It can happen any time, like twice in one day, i'm worried about powering my phone off because if I get in my car to make a journey and power it on so as to use google maps, it may take my phone 20min at that screen. If i'm in a shop that is to close in 10min, and I power up my phone to check something, the shop will be closed by the time it is up. Often I need to use my phone within a minute or two of turning it on.

You'd have to root it and hope that it has a stock Android firmware or that someone has done that already.

+Nipikase I guess it is pretty clear it doesn't have western stock android firmware, and I suppose I could root it (which would involve wiping everything) and I could replace the firmware with a western stock android firmware. But maybe some here are familiar with the chinese firmware that i've shown them in the picture.. And just like that guy does a youtube video showing how to navigate the firmware to do a factory reset, perhaps somebody can show how to navigate the chinese firmware to clear that cache that will remove the optimising apps message.

Actually, rooting only involves copying a single file to the phone, but how you do that depends on the phone. (Some need the bootloader unlocked, which would wipe everything, which means backing everything up first, then restoring it later.

But maybe some here are familiar with the chinese firmware that i've shown them in the picture.
I don't think there's any chance of that here or on XDA, your only other chance. (And I'm just guessing, but it may be MediaTek hardware, which means that all bets are off.

There's only clear eMMC, which is wiping the phone.

that will remove the optimising apps message.
Clearing the Dalvik cache is what's causing the phone to optimize every time. The only way to "fix" that is to allow it to finish optimizing. If it starts doing it again, something in the phone, either hardware or software, is defective. (The problem with these no-name Chinese phones is that you can't get information about them, so you're on your own, and you usually destroy, or at least hard brick, at least a few of them before you learn anything.

    thanks.

dalvik cache is right. I'd guess all it takes is somebody here that speaks chinese and uses such a phone. The screen does move onwards after 20min but i've even had it twice in one day.

Though you're saying that clearing the cache would cause that.

So, if I rooted the phone and replaced the boot loader and got an option in English to clear the dalvik cache, I suppose it wouldn't help me, 'cos are you implying that clearing the dalvik cache would guarantee that message?
