I'm about to purchase an unlocked Galaxy S9 128GB directly from Samsung. Are there any companies that still offer phone insurance plans that I can purchase for a period of time at an up front price rather than monthly billing? I don't want monthly billing unless it's through our Verizon plan but I was told they will not insure an unlocked version. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Edit: My old Galaxy S6 insurance through Samsung was not monthly and I paid an up front cost, but the Premium Care they offer now is only monthly.

Also, if I've been given incorrect info regarding adding the phone to the Verizon/Asurion insurance, I'm ok with going that route. For various reasons I won't get into here, signing up for another monthly payment plan is a complete non starter.
