My uncle has passed away recently and no one knows his gmail password. I’m now in possession of his tablet which is locked and no one knows the code or gmail password. It’s an ematic egq373. I’ve factory reset it and it still asked to sign in with an account that was previously synced to the device

Sorry to hear of your uncle's passing.

Sadly, you're in possession of a paperweight if nobody knows his Gmail password. Factory reset protection is an important security feature that we won't even take a stab at trying to help someone bypass. http://www.androidcentral.com/factor...-you-need-know
