These are the things using most of my battery:

    Screen-10%
    Phone idle-5%
    Call standby-4%
    Android system-4%
    Android OS-3%

I have an s9 plus, my friend has an iphone xs max. We use our phones about the same, and sometimes he uses it more. I'm at 55% rn, but those are always the top.

Welcome to Android Central! If you're actively using your phone, Screen will almost always be the biggest battery drain, since it takes a lot of energy to light up all of those pixels. The Phone Idle/Call Standby figures can be adversely affected by poor cell signal (which makes the phone work harder to maintain the signal).

Charge up to 100%, then let it drain to 20-30% with normal usage, without charging in between. Then show us:

    1. The main Settings>Battery screen.
    2. The fullscreen battery graph screen (which shows Awake time and Cell Signal Strength).
    3. The Screen category (to see total Screen On time).
    4. The Cell Standby category, if present (to see Time Without Signal).

You might have to install a 3rd party battery monitor, like GSam Battery Monitor, to get the Cell Signal Strength graph.
