OK, so here's the deal. Got a Drone from parrot and it uses the FreeFlight Pro app.

Oh and i'm using a Samsung Galaxy S9+

Supposedly, when flying the drone it displays altitude, distance, speed, etc... in whatever system (imperial or metric) is used by the country that your phone's region is set to.

I live in the USA (imperial) but the app shows metric. All the forums for the App I've inquired on all tell me that my phone must not have the USA set as my "Region".

I have auto time zone enabled (its set to Central Time) I have my language set to US English. I'm just curious if there is a setting i'm missing that will set my phone to USA (imperial measurement) so this drone app will show imperial over metric.

The phone sets its region by the first SIM put into it. If the only SIM it's had is a US SIM, either you got a used phone or the app has a bug.
