Unlocking issue

my young daughter has locked her tablet

I have tried the usual reboot options but cannot seem to do it. When I get to the wipedata/factory reset option there are only three options all of the no. It has a reset pinhole, but I don't know how this works. It is a Chinese tablet and it says exdroid4.4.2 r2-a33-2.1 if that is of any use.

Welcome to the forums. You may have to go with the reset pinhole. Try a paperclip and hold it in for a few seconds.

Does the tablet need to be on or off when I use a pin in the reset hole.

It would need to be on. You don't say why you need to do it.

First of all sorry for the same questions, but for some reason I can't respond to the answers i have been kindly given
My daughter has locked her tablet, I have tried different combinations of switching on with Volume + and Power but non have worked. I can get to the part where I can wipe data and factory reset but there is only the option to select No. With this in mind I have discovered that there is a pinhole to reset it. Does the tablet need to be on or off when I use a pin in the reset hole.Are there other things to consider when trying this option.

The tablet is a Chinese running KIkat 4.4 whatever that means.

It would need to be on. You don't say why you need to do it.

As above. It needs to be on for a pin reset.
