    Hi!
I am new to this forum so I appologize for asking this, but did not manage to find a solution online.
I am using a Samsung J5 telephone with Android 6.0.1.
For internet browsing I use Samsung Internet app version 8.2.01.2.
Today I tried to access one forum that had youtube videos in the posts (saw them later on my computer), my phone did not show them as such - instead of it ot started without permission downloading .swf files with alphanumeric names on them... And had a blank square in place of the videos in the posts..
My question is - is it an app issue that does not support such files and then tries to download them or did I manage to get something harmful on my phone. :/
Thank you for the answers and happy new year!

Welcome to the forums. Those are Adobe Flash files and can only be played in a Flash compatible browser. I think there's some workaround to play them on Android but it's not that easy, if possible at all. I'll ask around and tell you what I find.

In the meantime I moved your thread to the General Help forum for better visibility.
