I think when I formatted my sd card I chose the option to use it expand my phone's internal memory, now my sd card quit working, I cannot view any photos on my phone, I was able to get my sd card to read 2 times (out of about 100) in my laptop, the last after freezing it, I was able to copy all data on to my laptop, except the main folder is called video, there are some random named subfolders that contain weird folders names 01 clock, 02 clock, 03 clock, etc, all these folders contain .ASF files, is this some type of encryption and how do I recover my data?

Welcome to Android Central! When you format the SD card as Internal Storage (which is called Adoptable Storage), that encrypts the card such that only the phone that you formatted it with can read it. It's useless on other devices. SD cards are also more prone to failure than onboard memory, which is one of the main reasons not to use Adoptable Storage -- if the card fails, the apps crash, and you also lose a fair amount of data.
