Issue w/ sound in FB messenger

Hi. I'm trying to figure out why when I am in the middle of a facebook video call and I receive a regular phone call the volume lowers but won't go back up once that other call is rejected or stops ringing through. Any ideas? Is there a way to avoid this from happening or uncrease the volume back up after that other call is ended or rejected? Thanks in advance.
