    It maybe worth going to Settings, Apps, Duo, opening that, and checking in Permissions that the app can use Phone.

    A "flash in the pan"? This site's been around for quite a while. Duo isn't huge (actually, isn't it being dropped by Google soon?) your thread title isn't very descriptive of what app you're asking about and posts are replied to by volunteers or members who visit on their free time so questions aren't always answered quickly.

    I'll be honest - I have Duo installed and configured but the last time I configured it was a year ago when I got my Pixel 2 XL, and I never use it.

    In addition to what belodion suggested - maybe try clearing the cache and data for Duo. I recently tried opening the eBay app on my tablet and had trouble with it, doing that cleared up the issue.
