change APN on Verizon unlocked phones?

I bought an unlocked Verizon Moto E4 and a Moto G 2 so I could sign up with one of the cheap services. These services require that you enter their APN but I cant change the APM on either of my phones. The sellers have no clue. I not a techo-peasant but I am over my head. TIA
