Extend my screen real estate

Hi! I have a Samsung Galaxy A8. It's pretty new, and I added my favourite launcher - ADW - , and excitedly added the new update.

However, the side effect is that I have this big useless space on the bottom??

If I show the navigation bar, the background isn't transparent, so that's annoying.

But also the dock is super high up? With the icons in the dock, or with them on the card. There's still this big empty space either way!

@VidJunky, the problem is that we don't have specific A8 forums, so I'd have to put this in the More Samsung Phones forum, and that's kind of a random hodgepodge. Might be best to keep it here. Thanks as always for your diligence!
