I'm seeing ones in the $350+ range. I don't want to downgrade my storage space (320GB) but I might have to, the speed increase is ultimately more important to me.

ive got a 128 gb ssd in my macbook pro - thing is dope. boot up is under 5 seconds.

Boot time, meh. I just don't want to wait 20 minutes to check integrity and another 30 minutes to extract a large set of rar files.

and that cost?

a year and a half ago i got a mb pro 13 inch with 128 gb ssd, 2.7 ghz i7 dual core intel, and 8 gb ram - for somewhere around 1500 with student discount, or maybe more like 1600, dont remember. the ssd, extra 4gb ram, and i7 (instead of i5) were all upgrades - i think 100 dollars each over the base price.
