The only available service to my apartment is $40 terrible Qwest service. It loses when stacked up against a solid hotspot, plus I often work when mobile and need the hotspot anyway.

Although once this is put in place I'll sure as hell be signing up:

I've used the fiber lines at the University of Washington many times, and it's a great experience. I live a few blocks from campus, almost exactly in the center of one of those neighborhoods in the article's map. I can't wait. What's really going to be interesting that they're blanketing the test neighborhoods with gigabit-sourced 802.11n. Screw Verizon and T-Mobile, I spend 90% of my time within those areas.

I may have found the solution to my video streaming woes on the N10. I'd just use HDMI for the mirroring, and then use this for content delivery in the absence of external storage.
