Hello,

I have a data plan (through verizon) but no texting (SMS/MMS) plan. Since I don't have a texting (SMS/MMS) plan, will I get charged to my bill if I send snaps through snapchat?

Snapchat uses regular data, i.e. 3G or Wi-Fi depending on what you're connected to, so you won't get charged for messages.

Right, but some apps provide the texting experience through WiFi or mobile data.

Right, but some apps provide the texting experience through WiFi or mobile data.

Google Voice is one of those. It uses the data connection for SMS, although it does not support MMS.
