How do you store your number in the Contacts/People app (that can be called via Google Now)

I found that even with my home number stored in the 'Me' entry in the people app, Google Now won't recognize the command "Call home." (Something that I would tell Google in a feedback, if only I knew how to.)
Another way to achieve this, is to create an entry named 'Home' in People. But I always find it weird to fill in "First name: Home."

So, how would you do it?

My wife & daughter's contact information has both cell & home numbers listed. I simply tell Google; "Call (contact's name) home number". Done.
