Say it isn't so Google or maybe it's just some pre production thing that Google does when sending a phone to the FCC, but while going through the pictures I came across one side profile picture and sure enough it looks like a removable back to me. If this is true then maybe we can wish for micro sd slot lol.

I don't think it's likely. Google really swears by their "Nexus" design. However, that would be great news for me. I've been thinking about if I wanted to get the next nexus phone but I didn't want to give up my galaxy s3's extended 7,000 mAh battery.

Are you referring to the sd card slot or the removable back because the galaxy nexus had a removeable back but sadly no sd card slot

It's a fairly safe bet that micro SD card support will not be included.

I actually realized that after posting. Well maybe it will have the removable back then.

A removable back would make my second line decision far too difficult as the only problem I had with the nexus 4 was the inability to swap in a pinch.

"Non-removable" batteries are usually held in place with adhesives. Once you get the back off, you can replace the battery pretty easily. No such thing as a non-removable back, IMO.
