    Nope, there's not so much fragmentation in iOS, but there's a lot less choice too. If you're willing to spend a little time doing a tiny bit of research you can end up with just about the perfect Android phone w/at least Jelly Bean 4.2 on it. ...and given that 4.4 is still in the mold that's not too bad. Given what I've seen I'd take Android's fragmentation over the constraints of iOS but they both have something to offer.
