Hi everyone,

Recent Android convert here from BB10. I used a GNex way back before trying the Z10. Now I'm back on Android with a Nexus 5. I have a Google Play $50 credit and was hoping if some of you could suggest any top apps to buy.

Thanks!

If you like podcasts you could get BeyondPod or PocketCasts.

If you have two devices with NFC you could get SuperBeam.

Oh, tapatalk if you like forums.

Also you could get one of the music services. Google play all access is $10/month I think.

I'm a huge PocketCasts fan and think anyone who listens to podcasts on Android should buy it. Swiftkey is a great keyboard replacement and it is on sale right now. I think Helium Backup Pro is worth what it costs.

Hmm depends:

Good Paid Apps that I use or it could be useful:

1) Nova launcher prime
A launcher. I prefer this over the standard Google experience launcher that you get. Currently using the latest beta and that version should be out on officially soon.

2) Tasker
Best automation app. Works better with root.

3) Light flow
If you don't like the way the current led notification works, this app is for you.

4) HD Widgets.
Want some good widgets? Here they are.

5) Camera Awesome
If you want a better camera experience. Keep in mind that this is fairly new.

6) And perhaps tapatalk pro?
Yes, this is awkward considering that I haven't upgraded for that app yet. It is basically a Mobile optimized app that I can browse and post on this site. I can go to other sites with this app as well which is why I use this app :)

7) Helium (premium)
Great backup and restore app. It doesn't require root :)

Will add more later...

I only use one paid app: Neutron. Wonderfull music player with amazing playback quality and Flac support.

I also use free stuff:

Web browser: Dolphin (Dolphoin browser)
File manager: ES file Explorer (ES app group)
Video player : VLC (Videolabs)
E-book rader : Adilko (Adilko limited)
Barcode/QR : Barcode scanner (ZXing)
Playlist maker: My Playlist Maker (martinshinnerl)
Flashlight app: Droidlight LED flashlight (Motorola mobility LLC)
Notepad app : Notepad (Banderlabs)
Tone generator: Pro Audio Tone Generator (Dutchmatic)
Telemetry : Ulysse Gizmos (Binarytoys)
Office : AndrOpen Office (andropenoffice.com)
Lockscreen manager: Lockscreen policy (Chislon Chow)

Nothing extraordinary, but it keeps my happy.
