Gingerbread Tablets?

I was just wondering if anyone has solid, official news reports of when Gingerbread will be available for tablet PCs.

I read a news report where a top Samsung employee announced their next tablet would run on Gingerbread, but nothing really solid to speak of other than that; and that barely qualifies.

iOS 4 can now multitask... Google needs to step it up a notch and put the ball back in their court, imo.

not sure who is stepping it up a notch, the biggest reason we are all on android is because of verizon's marketing of the droid. It launched a frenzy of android devices, everyone is jumping on the bandwagon.

Google is stepping up it's game, So far it is the only combination that has been able to put enough hurt or fear in apple's heart to change apple policy. With out that I am sure apple would still be shunning adobe and keeping them off of their devices, and i am sure governments would not be dropping lawsuits against apple. And apple would have never loosened some of their policies.
