And by manually checking all apps that could contain new messages, 20 times a day, you're gonna use up that extra 20% battery life and then some.

I've never actually thought of doing this, will try it and see. I like my smartphone running as effeciently as possible.

As for me, I just disabled as much of that as I could. I wouldn't use AT&T navigator....I mean, Google Maps is already installed.
