I'm looking through ebay on a couple tablet models, I see listing after listing of damaged ones being sold, with cracked screens, messed up screens, won't power on, etc. Exactly who the hell is going to buy a tablet with a shattered screen? I mean, even if you get it fixed, still?

For parts! There are plenty of handy people out there who can swap out various parts.

I picked up an LG G2 with a non-working USB port for $82. I replaced that for $9 and had a great functioning G2 for $91

I was going to say something similar to parts, or even part salvaging. Imagine buying a device for 75 and a damaged screen. You can sell the usb port, back plate, cable/charger, buttons, etc. and probably turn a small profit. Maybe even a modest profit if you got a flagship.
