I was waiting for the launch of T2 and when it came out, I was a little disappointed. It looks like a good phone and the unbreakable screen is great. But for over $700 (with leather back) it is just to much money. I don't understand how they can charge that much.

Am I alone here? Will not even consider it at that price.

    Thoughts?

Its a carrier exclusive and its not a mid range phone so they can and will charge as much as people are willing to pay. Other high end phones are in that price range or higher, look at the GS6 price points.

I guess time will tell if it is overpriced. the spec are good on the phone and a few of the features are great (shatterproof screen and HUGE battery)... but I don't see it as an equivalent of the S6 or iPhone....

What is better about an S6 over the New Droid? Just curious, I have no interest in buying either phone, but the S6 has been out for some time now.

The Droid has a QHD AMOLED shatterprooof display, SD 810, 3 GB RAM, 21 MP camera, huge 3700 mah battery, 32GB base with microSD, all the Moto assist features, Turbo charging, customizable options like leather and engraving.

So how is it not worthy of being a $650 flagship again?

The warranty makes this phone worth it. Too expensive to repair a phone.

Well I personally think its too expensive as well. While it definitely is a flagship level device the problem that Motorola and perhaps Blackberry for that matter is that there are too many flagship or near flagship level phones at much better prices. Heck part of it is Motorola's own fault since they have the Pure Edition right now too. A lot of people will probably ask if the differences the Turbo 2 have are worth the significant price difference. Another problem is the perception (or reality) that only certain brands can command such a high price point. Brands like Apple and Samsung seem to be able to do that with flagships while other OEM's like LG for instance don't seem to be succeed doing that even with similar flagship devices. Just my two cents but I think the landscape is changing and it will take more from most OEM's in order to command those high prices.
